A 7-French Arndt endobronchial blocker (Cook Critical Care, Birmingham, IN). The Arndt system has a hollow central channel and a wire loop for fiberoptic bronchoscope-guided placement. The Fogarty catheter does not have a central channel, but does have a removable, malleable wire inside which allows for bending or angling the distal end to help with placement.
